Gabriele Costa B. Garcia

I am committed to acting as a servant leader to society, recognizing my privileges, and using them for the benefit of others. Throughout human rights education, I wish to merge spirituality and politics, inspiring hope in change, and raising people's awareness about their individual and social responsibility to create a fairness ecosystem.

Brazil has the 3rd biggest prison population in the world, with almost 800 thousand people incarcerated in poor conditions. Many of them committed their first offense during their adolescence. My project aims to deliver peace and human rights education to public servers who work directly with adolescents in conflict with law, in order to reduce abuses and violations, as well as to provide them with the proper tools to support these adolescents to reconcile with their stories and break the cycle of violence.
