Project Description

The Development Initiative Mako aims to improving education in a rural community in Senegal, by providing access to illuminated workspaces, internet and a library for students, teachers and other community members. This learning space will additionally be an access point for schools and individuals in other parts of world to connect to the community through a facilitated “correspondence with a pen pal” program; aiming to shift the narrative of the people there to a local perspective.
