Project Description
Compassion in Action Youth Project (CAYP) aims to create a compassionate mindset in young people in order to promote sustainable environmental conservation in protected areas of Uganda. CAYP helps primary school children realize their potential to contribute significantly to their communities and nation through promoting environmental sustainability. The project is being done with Conservation Through Public Health, a grassroots NGO in Uganda that promotes conservation and management of protected areas by improving wildlife health and primary health services to people, wildlife and livestock where they meet, and enhances livelihood opportunities for people living in and around Africa’s protected areas.
