I envision fostering active, thinking and creative individuals who are not just passive consumers of society but active individuals who are concerned with the community they are living in and sensitive to the issues of society as a whole and ready to work for the same.
Project Description
The project currently works with children 10 – 12 yrs of age from Mumbai who belong to lower-income families. The project tries to utilize opportunities to enable holistic and creative learning among children not only for academic learning in subjects, but also to develop a sense of moral values among them. As children grow older, the aim is to involve them in activities of community needs and finding local solutions and resources for them. This not only provides more ways of learning, but develops practical skills, makes children more sensitive, solves problems and more importantly, makes for a more sustainable way of living.
